What You'll Do

As a Bath Aide, your primary focus will be helping residents with bathing, showering, personal hygiene, grooming, and other activities of daily living while maintaining their comfort, privacy, safety, and dignity.

You'll also be an important set of eyes and ears for our nursing team. Because you'll spend dedicated one-on-one time with residents, you'll have an opportunity to notice changes in their skin, mobility, comfort, or overall condition and communicate those observations to the nursing team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents with scheduled baths and showers
  • Providing personal hygiene and grooming assistance
  • Helping residents dress and prepare before and after bathing
  • Safely transferring, positioning, and transporting residents as needed
  • Observing residents' skin condition and reporting concerns or changes to nursing staff
  • Maintaining resident privacy, dignity, comfort, and safety
  • Preparing and maintaining a clean, comfortable bathing environment
  • Documenting care provided according to facility procedures
  • Assisting residents with other activities of daily living as needed
  • Working collaboratively with nurses, CNAs, and other members of the care team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is patient, compassionate, dependable, and attentive to the little things that help residents feel their best.

Qualifications:

  • Active Nebraska CNA certification
  • CMA certification is welcomed but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to safely assist residents with transfers, positioning, and personal care
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a nursing team
  • A compassionate approach to caring for older adults and individuals with healthcare needs

Why Choose Ambassador Health?

Being a Bath Aide gives you a unique opportunity to spend focused, one-on-one time with residents. You're helping with one of the most personal parts of someone's care, which means kindness, patience, and respect matter just as much as the task itself.

At Ambassador Health of Nebraska City, we want our residents to feel comfortable, respected, and cared for—and our Bath Aides play an important role in making that happen.

If you're a CNA or CMA who takes pride in helping people feel clean, comfortable, confident, and cared for, we'd love to have you on our team.
