Position: Dietary Manager
Job Type: Full Time

Compensation: Based on experience
Responsible for overseeing the entire food service department, ensuring that all residents receive nutritious, safe, and appealing meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences. A Dietary Manager plays a key role in both administrative management and clinical nutrition.
Duties:
- Menu and meal planning

Certified Nursing Assistant CNA Duties:
- Assist with daily living activities. This includes delivering meals, turning and ambulating patients and providing plenty of fresh water, as well as extra nourishment between meals
- Help patients with personal hygiene. Provide patients with bedpans, help with baths, shampoos and showers
- Provide adjunct care for the patient, including ice packs, non-sterile dressings and therapeutic baths
- Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient's chart
- Assist the nurses and other staff as needed
- Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements, as well as Joint Commission standards
CNA Skills :
- High School diploma or GED
- Completion of state-approved CNA certification training course
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
- Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner")
- High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head
CNA Desired Skills:

Duties:
- Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document routine medications by the following routes: Oral, Gastrostomy Tube, Jejunostomy Tube, Eye, Ear, Nose, Topical, Rectal, Vaginal, Metered Dose Inhalation (MDI) that are commonly used in this facility and that may be ordered for resident use by the attending physician or the Medical Director only after competency return demonstration.
- Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document PRN medications by the following routes: Oral, Gastrostomy Tube, Jejunostomy Tube, Eye, Ear, Nose, Topical, Rectal, Vaginal, Metered Dose Inhalation (MDI) that are commonly used in this facility and that may be ordered for resident use by the attending physician or the Medical Director only after obtaining authorization from the supervising RN or LPN and performance of return demonstration competency evaluation.
- Observe and verify that medication is ingested or applied as directed. Document any instance where prescribed medication is not administered, including reason(s) for refusal.
- Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient's chart
- Maintenance and monitoring of oxygenation delivery systems. Fill portable oxygen tanks for resident use, when needed. Change oxygen flow from concentrator to portable and back again as needed. Adjust oxygen flow per physician’s order.
- Assist the nurses and other staff as needed
- Be familiar with the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms relative to the administration of medications as used by the facility, pharmacists, and physicians.
- Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements.
Requirements:
- Certified Medication Aide License (40 hours) in accordance with the laws of this State.

Full Job Description:
Develops comprehensive social history and psycho-social assessments
Orients residents and families to the care facility, its services and service limitations
Ensures the residents' rights are upheld
Involves residents and families in care planning & care conferences
Attends scheduled care conferences and identifies and interprets psycho-social needs of residents
Identifies and addresses unmet needs
Assists residents and families with financial questions and makes appropriate referrals
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans is preferred
Completes reviews with insurance companies and Medicaid programs
Coordinates discharge planning and collaboration with community resources
Advocates on a case, policy, and program level
Social Services Coordinator Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a human services field (sociology, gerontology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology) from an accredited college/university is preferred
Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
Social Work License Required
