Position: Director of Clinical Services - Registered Nurse
Job Type: Full-Time

Duties:
- Provide operational support to the facility Administrator
- Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians
- Overall support of the nursing department
- Plans and organizes activities related to specified clinical services to ensure patient needs are met in accordance with professional standards of medical and nursing care and facility administrative procedures
- Provide input on, and support for, the implementation of strong clinical systems that result in the highest quality of care
- Supports the development and implementation of quality assurance measurements and audits, and assists in improving medical management processes throughout the communities and market by coordinating and engaging in activities to proactively promote implementation of evidence based best practices
- Formulates budget based on appropriate workload indicators and anticipated revenues in conjunction with Administrator. Monitors and controls department costs to maintain expenditures within allocations.
- Evaluates current and potential residents and patients to determine and maintain living center's ability to provide appropriate level of care
- Monitors, performs, and manages quality assurance processes including those supporting compliance to regulatory and/or accreditation standards
- Function as a clinical resource to the nursing team
- Direct or conduct recruitment, hiring, and training of clinical personnel
- Provide training to staff nurses to promote performance improvement
- Provide support during the survey process including pre-survey preparation and developing performance improvement plans post survey if necessary
- Collects, reviews and analyzes clinical outcome data and determines trends. Brings identified concerns to the Administrator and/or Corporate Director of Nursing.

Duties:
- The Director of Nutritional Services is responsible for leading the dietary staff in providing nourishing food to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Prepare regular and therapeutic diets following oral and written instructions, menu's recipes, spreadsheets and other information, with knowledge of kitchen equipment.
- Avoids food waste.
- Prepares foods for special parties and groups and assists in the planning of these events.
- Meets meal schedules and serving times.
- Cleans and maintains the kitchen facility in a safe and sanitary manner, including floors, walls, all equipment and utensils.
- Assists in hiring, evaluating and interviewing.
- Supervise kitchen staff.
- Maintains responsibility for checking in and putting away orders.
- Assumes all responsibility in the absence of dietary staff.
- Prepares production sheets on a weekly basis.
- Assists in training new dietary staff.
- Prepares and submits subsistence orders with vendors weekly.
- Supervise other dietary staff to be sure work is completed in a timely manner.
- Writes department monthly schedules and performs biweekly payroll paperwork when assigned.
- Fills or works positions when needed.
- Maintains involvement in department QA.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Maintains HAACP procedures at all times during food production.
