What You'll Do
As a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurser (LPN) at Ambassador Health, you'll provide skilled nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical and clinical needs.
You'll work alongside physicians, Respiratory Therapists, Rehabilitation professionals, Nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide individualized care to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Administering medications and monitoring therapeutic responses
- Performing nursing assessments and identifying changes in condition
- Providing wound care and other skilled nursing treatments
- Caring for patients with complex and chronic medical conditions
- Promoting patient comfort, safety, and well-being
- Communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Providing direction and support to nursing staff as appropriate
- Educating patients and families regarding treatments and care
- Documenting patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to achieve the best possible outcomes
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Current, active Nebraska RN or LPN license
- BLS Certification
- Ability to make sound, independent clinical decisions when needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations
Preferred:
- One year of nursing experience
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Experience in acute care, post-acute care, pulmonary care, skilled nursing, or other complex clinical settings

What You'll Do
As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide specialized respiratory care for adult residents with a wide range of pulmonary conditions. You'll work closely with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.

Position: Housekeeper
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift (Flexible based on patient needs)
Desired Schedule:
This is a full-time, forty (40) hour per week, hourly position. The Housekeeping Aide must be able to work every other weekend, some holidays, and maintain the fourteen (14) day rotating schedule as shown:
7:00am – 3:30pm (Start & End Times Negotiable)
Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday
Compensation: $16.85-$20.00 (based on experience)
Work Location: LTC Acute Hospital - In person at 1540 N 72nd Street Omaha, NE 68114
Duties:
- The Task/Floor Housekeeping position must be a motivated self-starter who is willing to be flexible with their work assignments. This position is not assigned one specific nursing unit, but rather is responsible for areas of the facility that are not assigned to any specific unit.
- The Task/Floor Housekeeper is expected to fulfill various housekeeping needs as directed by the Housekeeping/Laundry Manager of Environmental Services. Those needs may include but are not limited to:
- Perform regular floor deep cleaning using various floor machines such as extractors, scrubbers, and vacuums.
- Follow a monthly floor cleaning schedule through the TELS work management system and utilize good time management to ensure all areas are completed each month
- Assist the Housekeeping Manager with room turn-over and deep cleaning as directed.
- Periodically assist the Maintenance Department with various projects that may require extra help as directed.
- Follow a daily task list for regular cleaning of offices, stairwells, elevators, entryways, and other areas.
- Fill in for other housekeepers on a nursing unit in the event of call-ins, vacation time, or as directed.
- Be responsible for a specific unit on assigned weekends.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of practical housekeeping or related experience.
- Must have the ability to read and write well enough to follow written directions and understand the dangers that come with working with the chemicals, equipment, tools, and supplies in a healthcare environment.
- Must have the ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Must possess the verbal communication skills to articulate and converse with associates, residents, co-workers, and visitors in an understandable and respectful manner.
- Must have a desire to learn and grow by participating in educational sessions, in-service training, and demonstrations.
Requirements:
Pass a physical exam.
Lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc.
Lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds occasionally from floor to chest height
Lift a maximum of twenty (20) pounds periodically throughout each work day.
Lift ten (10) pounds consistently.
Preferred Experience:
- 1-2 years of practical housekeeping or related experience.
