Position: Director of Nursing
Job Type: Full-Time

Work Location: From $90,000 Per Year
The Director of Nursing is responsible for creating an atmosphere that provides for continuity of quality care and quality of life for all residents in the living area 24 hours per day. This is accomplished by providing clear direction and expectations to all employees about the philosophy of the area in which they work.
Duties:
- Manages and takes responsibility for the resident care and other activities of employees.
- Plans, evaluates and takes responsibility for providing consistent and sufficient staffing to meet resident needs in the living area.
- Assists in managing the operating budget for area.
- Assists employees in utilizing appropriate techniques for effective assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of residents and their needs.
- Ensures that the medical, psychosocial, emotional and spiritual needs of residents are addressed by employees and followed up in the Plan of Care in an appropriate and supportive manner.
- Ensures the area and its equipment and supplies are neat, clean, safe and utilized appropriately at all times.
- Ensures that facility and department policies, procedures and guidelines, as well as local and state regulations, are met and followed by everyone in the area.
- Supports interdisciplinary team in area by listening to concerns and suggestions and by providing follow-up and feedback in a timely manner.
- Coaches and teaches employees how to communicate their needs as well as resident needs.
- Protects and promotes resident rights, including confidentially, privacy, dignity and freedom from abuse.
- Interacts courteously and appropriately with residents, family members, visitors and other employees under a variety of conditions and circumstances.
- Has the ability and desire to learn from and work cooperatively with others.
- Communicates and cooperates well and assists in problem solving with personnel in Resident Services and in other departments.
- Participates in facility committees and task forces as appropriate.
- Follows all established policies, guidelines and procedures, including federal and state regulations, to assure safe practices and quality resident care (includes following Universal Precautions and Infection Control Standards).
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position and regularly requires longer hours and frequent weekend work. Shifts may last 12 hours.

Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in a long-term care facility and 1 year of management experience.
- Understanding of coding and reimbursement systems, risk management and performance improvement helpful.

Duties: Responsible for overseeing a variety of activities including arts and crafts, educational games, movies and interactive reading time. A key deliverable for this position is creativity and high energy, so we're interested in hiring individuals who have experience with the 65+ individuals, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

Position: CNA/CMA
Job Type: Full Time and Part Time; $5000 Sign on Bonus (Full-Time)
Shift: Evening (2p-10p) & Night Shift (6pm-6am)
Work Location: In person at 1800 14th Ave. Nebraska City, NE 68410
Compensation: Based on experience
- Evening shift staff get an additional $1.00 per hour differential starting at 2:00 pm
- Night shift staff get an extra $1.50 per hour differential starting at 10:00 pm
Duties:
- Assist with daily living activities. This includes delivering meals, turning and ambulating patients and providing plenty of fresh water, as well as extra nourishment between meals
- Help patients with personal hygiene.
- Provide adjunct care for the patient, including ice packs, non-sterile dressings and therapeutic baths
- Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient's chart
- Assist the nurses and other staff as needed
- Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements.
Skills:
- High School diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA certification training course
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively
- Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner")
- Willing to become CNA and be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Experience: Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
