Duties:

• Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to planned menus, recipes, therapeutic diets, and resident care plans.
• Perform food preparation tasks while ensuring proper food quality, presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Set up meal trays and assist with tray line, dining room meal service, and between-meal nourishment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, dishwashing area, equipment, and workstations in accordance with food safety and infection control standards.
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Monitor inventory, minimize food waste, and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Dietary Manager.
• Complete routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and care of kitchen equipment and food carts.
• Work collaboratively with the dietary team to provide quality meal service and meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Follow all facility policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
