Make an Impact Across our Organization
Ambassador Health of Lincoln is seeking an organized, people-focused professional to join our leadership team as a Human Resources Generalist & Business Office Manager.
This position combines two important areas of our organization—supporting the employees who care for our patients and helping keep the day-to-day business operations of our facility running smoothly.
If you're someone who enjoys working with people, stays organized when there are a lot of moving pieces, and likes a role where no two days are exactly the same, this could be a great fit for you!
About the Role
As our HR Generalist & Business Office Manager, you'll work closely with facility leadership, department managers, employees, and our corporate team.
On the HR side, you'll help support the entire employee experience—from recruiting and onboarding to benefits, employee relations, leave management, and recognition.
On the business office side, you'll help manage the financial and administrative processes that keep our facility operating successfully, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll support, resident accounts, billing-related processes, and other administrative functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating recruiting, hiring, new employee orientation, and onboarding
- Supporting employees and managers with HR questions, policies, and employee relations
- Assisting employees with benefits enrollment and benefit changes
- Managing FMLA, Workers' Compensation, Short-Term Disability, and other employee leave processes
- Maintaining employee records and processing new hires, terminations, position changes, and compensation changes in our HRIS
- Tracking required employee licenses and CPR/BLS certifications
- Coordinating employee recognition and service award programs
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assisting with payroll and labor hour reporting
- Managing resident trust accounts and bank deposits
- Assisting with billing-related processes, including level-of-care reports, appeals, denials, and additional documentation requests (ADRs)
- Working collaboratively with facility leadership and our Corporate Billing and HR teams
- Assisting with special projects and other administrative needs as they arise
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is organized, approachable, dependable, and comfortable balancing both people-focused and detail-oriented responsibilities.
Qualifications Include:
- Previous Human Resources and/or Business Office experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience working with HR information systems (HRIS)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Healthcare, long-term care, billing, accounting, or patient-account experience is a plus
Why join Ambassador Health?
This isn't a behind-the-scenes desk job where you'll spend every day doing the same thing. You'll be an important resource for our employees, managers, residents, families, and leadership team—and you'll have the opportunity to make an impact throughout the entire facility.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, enjoys helping others, and wants to be part of a team working toward the same goal: supporting our employees so they can provide exceptional care to our patients.
